Tattoos?

What is your general opinion of tattoos? Do you have any? Do you want any?

I must admit that before I thought having a tattoo was pointless, but my opinion is changing. My older brother has an array of tattoos, which I think is excessive. But, they are rather cool, to say the least. He has a panther, a grim reaper with his three kids' initials intertwined into the scythe, and something else (I can't remember... harhar).

I want to get my grandmother's name tatted on one of my shoulders, with her DOB and DOD right underneath it. Maybe in a different variation, but something to the effect of having her name on my skin. I see her as my personal savior, and the only thing that kept me from falling into the same category as so much of my family.

I also want to get, on my forearm, a dagger pointing to my hand. And, there is an angel with a wisp wrapping around the dagger. But, about 3/4's down the blade, the wisp has been pierced by the dagger and the point is dripping blood. However, the angel is also embracing the dagger at the same time. In addition, there are chains wrapped around the angel's arms but are broken about a foot in.

The idea behind the ink is that the angel's death is what sets him free from a life of servitude. It has a personal meaning, but I think it would look wicked. :)

Well as for my opinion on tattoos is that I think they are cool, but I like to see them on other people. I would never get one, simply because I am the type that ends up being obsessed with something for a long long time but then when I am done with it, I kinda end up HATING it.

Those seem like pretty creative tattoos, I am sure they will be pretty cool though! If I were to ever get one I think I would probably have a very simple one... Maybe one with kanji. I would probably get is on my hip or something :)

I like tattoo's, yet I doubt that I would ever get one. 1) I'm too indecisive to ever know what to get. and 2) I've always been more so into piercings because you can always take them out when you tire of them.

Yet, I do indeed like tattoos. If i HAD to choose to get one, I would either get a cross outline or a star outline. Nothing fancy yet both symbolic/meaningful to me.

Also, your tattoo ideas sound AWESOME! If you do get that you should put up a picture of that because it would be awesome to see! :D

Sometimes they can look nice, but I only really like the smaller ones. Lots of tattoos (and full arms done and sh!t) are a put-off to me, that's gonna look nasty when you're older!
Would never get any myself, I wouldn't want to regret it when I'm older lol. But they can look cool sometimes =]

I might get a tattoo in the future. The problem is however that opinions change. Considering a tattoo is pretty permanent, I don't want to end up hating it later on, and I don't want to grow tired of it either.

I have ten different shaped stars tattooed on my back and I got a arch angeling (cute monster from Ragnarok Online) tattooed on my wrist.
I'm planning on new tattoo on my foot, this one I'm doing together with my mom (who at first hated tattoos) and my back needs more ink.
Trust me, when you start, you can't stop. It's addictive.

I wonder if you all could help me out here.
I'm looking ages now for a nice, not too big tattoo based on Final Fantasy IX, but it has to be something original, so rather no moogles or it has to be different from all the others. (when you google FFIX tattoo most of them have the same moogle )
And it has to be cute ^^
So I'm very interesed in your chocobo tattoo Serah! Is there a change that you could post a picture of your tattoo? If anyone has a good idea for my tattoo, please let me know!!

I only got the tattoo yesterday so its all red and inflamed still ill post it once it looks normal.

Kimdo, have you seen those people on teh webz who have tattoos where ever they have skin? lol. It looks so damn bizarre.

I will definitely post pics if I get it! The trouble will be finding an artist who can completely capture my vision of the idea. It's going to be tough, since I can't draw myself ;.; I am going to try and get my friend who is a pwnsome artist to draw it. Problem is, he is bad with listening to descriptions o.o lol
