View Full Version : Things that annoy you

As the title says...what annoys you? Can be anything from your sandwich falling on the ground (lol) to someone talking behind your back.

Here's my list, I'm sure I'll think of more later, however.

-When people are too cowardly to talk to me, assume things and/or have a problem with me and then either give me the cold shoulder or ignore me. If you have a problem, talk to me, not my friends, not my family, me! I'm open to criticism as long as it is presented maturely but don't be such a COBARDE (coward).
-When people lie habitually, and when you confront them about it, they do anything to worm their way out of the lie and try to make YOU feel guilty. Nonsense, I prefer these people not to talk to me at all.
-Animal cruelty
-People eating with their mouth open XD
-When people can't stop talking, you give them a hint "Well, I better get back to work now" and then they start talking about their work or something, it's horrid, I have a housemate like this XD
-I hate skirt chasers
-When people have no manners, like this one housemate of mine just leaves his laundry in for 2 days while the rest of the house (7 people live here) needs to use it too. In fact he's doing it now. I'm going to put it in a bag and stick it on his door ^~^ He doesn't pay mutual costs either. Grrr.
-When people ask you for an honest opinion, you give it, in a polite manner, and they get mad. Why bother?

Ho! I can relate to this one. One of my housemates is similarly inconsiderate, and on top of that he owes me about £800. Which is my own stupid fault for lending it to him in the first place, but still!

Also add "Bureaucracy", "Preachers in Manchester town centre whilst I'm trying to shop on a Saturday", and the word "Chillax" to my list :)

Extremely Christian people, blinded by their faith, thus not allowing themselves to absorb new information. They are kind of unable to debate in a logical way, considering they don't even open themselves for a different theory.

ALong with that I am annoyed by "cool kids", who think they are cool because they curse other people.

I must say that Kimdo's list more or less compromises the majority of my list. Allow me to add:

- People who change depending on the crowd they're enveloped by. People who think they need to impress the people they're associating with at that given time are just waiting to be cast aside by any true friends. If you can't be you 24/7, then move aside and don't try to hold onto real relationships. I see this ALL the time.

That's a good one...although I do admit I act a slight bit differently in front of friends and like, an interview/work related people lulz. Don't think that counts though...I'll hardly be making jokes in front of people related to my future xD

Oh oh! I got another one to add to my list. Can't believe I forgot about it, as I see this. All. The. Time.

-People that show off about getting drunk. Or people that claim they don't like drinking yet get drunk anyway because it is the "socially cool thing to do". It does my head in. I don't have a problem with drinking, just the showing off about getting drunk (there's a difference between getting drunk and drinking, there IS such a thing as stopping when you feel it's going to get to you) to me is just so immature and screaming "Look at me, I'm a sheep and I fit in with the rest of them" you know.
"So did you have a good night out last night?"
"Yeah dude I got smashed LAWL I had like 20 shots"
Oddly enough I've heard people say that "I have no life" because I don't like getting drunk. It's sad, really. People change when they get drunk, I don't like it.

Nah, that doesn't count. xP What mainly annoys me is when someone, for example, tries to beat you down verbally to make the others he or she is around think that that person is funny, or anything of that nature.

Rawr, I know exactly what you mean with the alcohol bit. o.o; Most of my family is a collection of drunks, and I see it all the time. My dad grew up as a street boxer, and is a heavy alcoholic now. And, whenever he gets drunk off of anything except wine, he is ready to kick your ass no matter how big, small, strong, weak, or anything you are. It doesn't matter if it's someone who could take him or not, he's ready to brawl -.- Then, he has to sing and dance and shiz and show off what he is drinking, as if it makes him a better man.

I mean, I love him and everything, but his excessive drinking has made it so I rarely spend time with him now. My mom is the same way. But, when she gets drunk, she just talks about other times she got drunk. She brags about being thrown out of bars and stuff, so stupid. It gets under her skin that I don't really drink at all. Just about a month ago, she tried to make me a screwdriver and have me drink it, when I declined she was talking behind my back about how much of a pansi I am. For my 21st birthday, she called everyone she knew and bitched about how I refused to go to the bar with her because I wanted to spend my time studying for final exams. -.-

I've watched alcohol and drugs destroy the lives of so many family members, friends, and other people throughout my entire life. I just choose to persue success instead of a life of excessive substance use.

/rant

That aside, I think that kind of stuff is just pointless. I'd rather just avoid that kind of stuff, and people who glorify their use of said substances.

There are few things that actually annoy me.
But on thing that UBER annoyes me is when someone brushes their teeth and leaves dried, nasty, out of your mouth toothpaste in the sink..just chillin...it's so sick...I hate it...and the majority of the time my roommates will do it..even though I tell them I despise that >.< I still love them though lol

I have one to add to that.

- People who pretend they're more drunk then they really are. You know, the ones who have had a few and want to make it seem like they've had more. You know, the ones who are "TV-Drunk". That winds me up. Easy to spot when talking to someone online cause they'll randomly misspell things "oh man..am so jrunk". YOU WOULDN'T HIT THE "J" IF YOU WERE REALLY DRUNK AND STRUGGLING WITH DEPTH PERCEPTION! IT'S NOWHERE NEAR D ON THE KEYBOARD!!

Okay I have a lot of things that annoy me :P I tend to lose my temper fast but I don't really get angry though so no harm!

-when people type "u" or "i", I am more annoyed at the "u" because it doesn't that hard to type to more letters lol!
-I am annoyed at like constant swearing, I am sure there is better vocabulary to replace those words.
-annoyed at bad smells :P
-seeing pictures of young people getting trashed.
-when someone talks to you on MSN, they only reply back with "lol"
-people who act like know it alls and are always cocky.
-people who ask questions that have already been answered or the same question was already asked.
-suck ups.
-backstabbers/compulsive liars
-one person in class who answers EVERY single question asked by the teacher... we get it that you know everything, you don't have to rub it in our faces.
-people who start smoking because their friends smoke, or people who do drugs because they want to be noticed, and people who drink because they want to fit in.
-people repeating the same thing over and over again.
-when I ask a question to a teacher and the answer would have been yes you are right or no blah blah, it actually turns out to be a 20 minute conversation going too indepth and in the end you already knew all that information.
-you pass by people you've known for like 5 to 6 years by they act like you are a stranger.
-people who don't have manners.

This is my list for now XD I probably have more later. I know I sound kinda picky but I am usually pretty tolerate if I know the person well enough :)

Uugh, where do I begin?

-When people swear ALL the time REALLY loudly while talking to you. Makes me so embarrassed.
-When someone you think you've made a good connection with and is your friend pretends to be emo to fit in with a new group of people he has started hanging out with and then stabs you in the back by putting you down, insulting you, hitting and referring to you as a**hole rather than by name and takes advantage of you. This leaves you with no confidence to do anything about it and with a feeling of inferiority.
-When someone who does the above calls you EVERY DAY of the Easter Holiday asking you to come over without getting the message.

Things that annoy us in general or things about people that annoy us?

I read over this and get the feeling I would just annoy so many people with my mannerisms haha ;x I'm not that bad a person I SWEAR!

Anyway, what annoys me:
- People who don't understand how to compromise.
- On the theme of alcohol which seems to be a reoccuring topic, I hate hanging out with drunk people when I'm sober.
- People who talk behind my back, in my case anyway I find whenever someone talks about me behind my back it always inevitable gets round to me through some means (what goes around, comes around), usually I never bring it up for the sakes of keeping the peace, but god damn son, grow some balls and come talk to me face to face.
- People who take everything too seriously. I am the most relaxed chillaxed person I know and whilst that does have downsides occasionally, I don't like people getting up in my face over every little detail.

As far as things go. I hate it when I put something down and then someone moves it! GAWD. SO ANNOYING D< Takes me forever to find that shit again.
I hate it when my internet is being useless and when I wanna watch a youtube vid it keeps stopping every 10 seconds. Especially annoying when I'm trying to listen to music on youtube.
The thing I use for conversion from my ipod to the casette player in the car makes a high pitched whining noise in the background. ITS SO ANNOYING Dx Curses on having good hearing range.
Also the dog won't let me sleep in. Ever. You'd be amazed at how much space on my single bed at my parents house that my tiny lil dog can take up. It's insane (and very annoying).

Oh I'm gonna have so much fun with this topic lol.

I'm gonna start with this...

When people who are literally a year or two or even just five years older than you talk down to you like you're half their age. Massive example is my boss at work who is a complete arsehole and has been handed this position of power at such a dumb age and thinks he has the right to talk to you like a pupil at school.

Ignorance - When people are ignorant. Let me generallise this. This isn't when people are ignoring something. Sometimes that's good...this is when people don't have the frigging audacity to tell you they can't come to your birthday party in advance. I was 21 in February and I had two friends who I thought were very close to me, drop out coming to my birthday party because one of them forgot it was her own mother's birthday (original excuse) but the other one I'm more pissed at, dropped out because she was "skint". I'm aware money can be a problem and sometimes you can end up skint because of bills but only finding out you'd be skint two days before my party when you don't actually have anything to pay for and were planning on going to someone else's party that night and still did? Load of fucking rubbish.

Erm...Trespassers. I have the pleasure of looking after animals at the animal sanctuary my girlfriend's Mum owns and I live there with my girlfriend alot of the time and we can not for the LIFE of us, stop idiots who have nothing better to do, coming up and trying to free the animals we spend every hour of our lives caring for.

Greedy Soulless Rich People. Now yes...there's SOME rich people out there who have good hearts, there's some out there who're great people. BUT there are SOME. Just some who think just because they are rich, they can take something you hold dearly right from under your nose. And when they can't have it, find EVERY WAY possible to get it whether legally or not. This again equates to the Sanctuary mentioned previously. A bunch of greedy good for nothings are wanting to buy the place JUST to destroy it, get rid of all the animals by ANY means and build wait for it......houses. As IF we didn't have enough.

Finally and this is finally...Pretty Boys. I know a bunch of twats who throughout my life just because you don't wear fashionable clothing like your crap G Star or Henley or whatever the hell is fashionable or wear two diamond encrusted ears rings like a complete girl take the piss out of you or try to make your life hard. I'm proud I ain't some sporty good for nothing dickhead, I'm proud I have the ability to make my own decisions in life without feeling just because my friends are doing something, I have to go do it too.

These things and many other things annoy me. I'm a really irratatable person. But life has made me that way. And that's what annoys me lol.

Alright, things that annoy the Tsuji:

- Animal cruelty

- Injustice, in all of its nasty, manipulative forms.

- People who boast about drinking and consuming alcohol, or boasting about how drunk they are and how much of an "awsum nite" it was, based only on how drunk they got. Fucking hell am I glad I am not a part of that scene.

- Related to previous statement: People who conform themselves without question to any given social situation or pressure without sincerely thinking about it first. In other words, people who just go along with something because thats what the majority does. Sometimes, you really should think for yourself about any particular topic, and see if it makes sense for yourself. If it doesn't, don't go along with it if at all entirely possible. I do not extend this criticism to situations where it is really beyond your control, of course. (Example would be conforming to your educational system in the country you reside in.)

- BAD DRIVERS. HOLY SHIT DO THEY PISS ME OFF. I have a lot of patience. It is my virtue. But bad drivers do my head in pretty god damn fast. People who would go 60-70 KMPH, when CLEARLY the speed limit is 100 KMPH, meaning you are ALLOWED to go up to 100 KMPH. If they are going 80 KMPH, that's somewhat acceptable. But if you are on a road which indicates that the limit is 100 KMPH, and you go way slower than that, IT IS IRRITATING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AT THE SAME TIME FOR OTHER DRIVERS WHO DRIVE WITH MORE CONFIDENCE AND CONSISTENCY. Its called going onto the left lane for slower drivers! But nooo, they don't do that! UGH!

- People who have too large of an ego, and don't know how to compromise. People who always have something to say. I really don't think I need to explain this one!

- Selfish people. Self explanatory!

- People who have no manners. Again another one I don't need to explain.

- People who have "weak shoulders". That's a metaphor I'll probably have to elaborate on.
What I mean with "weak shoulders", are people who are probably in a high position in society, but know not how to perform their job with honesty and sincerity, for the best and correct result. It always has to mess up somehow. What I mean is, give people "power" and they will change from their brave selves, to ignorant and selfish people who now misuse their position for their own gain. These people exist, and I honestly loathe this weakness in them. Hence my metaphor of "weak shoulders", as only "strong shoulders" can carry heavy responsibilities. Which is why I also am of the opinion that some people are just not meant to be what they are, with regards to who they are and their position in society.

-you pass by people you've known for like 5 to 6 years by they act like you are a stranger. This one as well irritates me a lot. I don't know why they do it exactly, though I have a hunch.

+ 1,000,000

I was a delivery driver for Dominos pizza for 9 months. The number of people I encountered who would do EXACTLY this kind of crap is staggering! About 90% of them were taxi's, who always seem to go 20mph slower then they're allowed when they're in front of you, and sit right on your back bumber when they're behind. Grah!!!

Seriously. Go look up Peter Mandelson. First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, President of the Board of Trade and Lord President of the Council. Thrown out of politics in the UK on three separate occasions for corruption, and now the most powerful unelected politician in the UK

Bump. Today's events reminded me of another thing I DESPISE.

-When something bad is happening and noone does ANYTHING, while they DO have the power to help. WORSE yet, they freaking laugh at the events or TAKE PICS WITH THEIR MOBILE PHONE. It makes me so angry.
Like today there was a kitten drowning in the river and there were people watching and doing the above. Long story short I just cussed at them and my mom and me jumped in the river to save it even though the police told us not to (they weren't doing crap). I hate this part of humanity so, so much, it's disgusting and these kind of people won't even get a chance from me.

What happened with the kitten? Did you keep it KIMDO!? I'm glad you were able to save it o.o

Something to add to my list... people who think their kids can do nothing wrong. Open an encyclopedia and face the facts, assclown! No one is perfect. No one is able to completely dismiss any wrongdoings throughout their life. Stupid mafks >.>

I'm complaining about this now because it's happened to me three times already this semester.

See, here in my school, the professors usually give us long math quizzes to be completed in less than an hour. Now that isn't much of a problem for me since I study like hell, but it gets annoying when some seatmate of mine goes on and bugs me about some problem he can't answer all throughout the period. Now I get so distracted that it slows me down, and I end up with an incomplete paper. I tried sitting elsewhere, but it turned out that there were more annoying seatmates than I thought. And that's what annoys me at the time being.

Final Fantasy annoys me.

I just spent 75 bucks on their game and a months subscription only to be told configure your settings....I do....log in....configure your settings moron...I do...I read the manual...follow directions....log in....configure your settings idiot.....

I do. I research forums. Read their help. Spend hours trying to configure my fuking settings.

Their entire log in system is the most retarded, bunch of horsehit in the gaming industry.

Do not buy the game FF. You will regret it. Mine is on the way to the city dump where no doubt square enix resides.

I Remember about 3 years ago I tried to log in for ff11 too and could not. Spent hours trying to dechiper their BS instructions. I was never able to get past the login instructions of that game either and told myself I would never buy another one of their games......fool me once shame on me...fool me twice....

count me as a disgruntled customer who will devote my life to talking people out of playing ff14.

Yeah FFXIV is just a buggy incomplete game. Too bad you had that experience first hand without even getting to try it (not that you're missing anything). ;.;
Odd with the FFXI problems though, maybe you needed to update your drivers or maybe your graphics card wasn't strong enough? I had no problems with FFXI but my compy couldn't even run the benchmark of FFXIV.
I hope it doesn't steer you away from old console FFs though. If you haven't tried them already (imo 6 til 10 are best, the rest after that meh) you should :)

It's funny because there's thousands of players who seem to be playing the new FF14 just fine. Yes, they might have issues with the gameplay, but you don't see any problems about getting into the game. So what does that implicate? ;)

Anyways, maybe you should consider "configuring" your network if you're having troubles getting online.

This particular event didn't annoy me so much as REALLY piss me off. The place i'm living at now doesn't have a bathroom inside but has more of an outhouse (not quite an out-house because it also has a sink and cupboard in it). It was late at night and my brother had been filling my head with the "black zombie" from some movie he'd recently seen. So I didn't want to go out in the dark alone. The best thing to do, i decided, was to get my brother to wait outside the bathroom for me. But while I was inside he decided it would be fun to freak me out a bit. So a "what the hell-" and a loud slam against the outside of the door later, and I was babbling "oh come on. I know you're out there. Don't be a dick." over and over. So I decided I wasn't coming out until he replied to me. So i started talking to his pet mouse who he kept in the bathroom. When my brother eventually gave up the act he then cheekily made me come with him while he took the dog for a walk.

This will sound ironic but what I dislike most is the amount of people who hate just for the sake of hating. It's the same with fanatic fans who won't allow you to say the good and bad points of whatever it is that they adore. I know that nobody would like to hear something bad about maybe their favorite fictional character or singer but it's them pretty much denying you of free speech.

Another would be certain people who think rape is funny. That giving birth is nothing to be afraid of despite it being a life danger to women. And those who torture animals just to feel better or find a 'good laugh' in it.

Lastly, it would be trolling, flames or general bullying.
Racisim, homophobia... Lack of respect towards any living being makes me sick.

Right now the puffin publishing company is annoying me. They have this short story competition, see, and i entered. I've been obsessing for months and counting down the days in July untill the finalists were announced on the puffin website on the 1st of August...Except they weren't. I haven't been contacted so i'm assuming that i've lost, but i'd still like confirmation of that. Three days later the information still isn't up and when i tried to send them an email the damn thing wouldn't send. It's so frustrating! And all the while i'm sitting at home thinking "what if...?" It's worse than being flat-out rejected!
