Anyone do any interesting sports? Talk about them here!

I used to play girls hockey, netball and stuff in school but that's kinda dull so;

When I was in first year at university I used to love going to archery class, but I dropped out of that after a while due to costs and being busy on days of shoots ; ;

Now I play airsoft with my university team. Unsuprisingly, there aren't many girls, just two of us (we're housemates, the other girl is dating the society treasurer and we all live together 8D). For anyone who doens't know what airsoft is (which seems to be quite common) it's a little like paintball, but more realism, we use realistic BB guns and it's based on on an honour system, i.e. its up to you to declare when you're hit.

It doesn't hurt as much as paintball, so I've been told (never played paintball) and it's good fun! We play indoors and out, indoors is the most fun.

If anyone's interested in knowing more, go ahead and ask and I'll try answer! Though of course I only play in the UK, which has a couple of different rules compared to airsoft in the US or Asia, but I can give it a shot.

I used to do Kendo when we had a group back in the institution here where I live. Unfortunately they disbanded, so no more Kendo for me ; ;
I used to do cycling, but I cannot possibly go cycling in Ireland. Ireland is terrible for any kind of cycling. It's riddled with bad roads, potholes, bad weather (most of the time), bad drivers, and drink-drivers. If you have a death wish, come cycling in this country. The probability of you getting in some sort of accident is very high and realistic. <_<

Having said that though, if the University of Groningen accepts my application, I'll be cycling again! And doing some martial arts, depending on whats available.
I really wanted to try Airsoft though, that shit looks fun as hell lol

Aha, well, we'll have to try and arrange something next summer or whenever it is you're back around Ireland/England etc. I'll probbaly be keeping up with airsoft post university anyway since I have my own gear.

Speaking of which I just picked up a laser sight for my rifle, its so neat haha, I can't wait to use it indoors since we'll be playing a couple of indoors/in the dark games next month at one of our favourite sites to play at!
I would post some pics but the site we go too where they take photos a lot hasn't updated their album in ages, and the rest of the photos I take are kinda dull (no cameras in game for obvious reasons) >:

I never tried airsoft, but I love paintballing. I don't think there's any airsoft clubs around here, and definitely not at my University. As for sports, I take martial arts, and that's about it. :D

I have enjoyed playing basketball for pretty much most of my life. When I was a kid, I got my dad and grandmother to enroll me into a public team two years in a row, before I quit and stuck to just playing with friends. Both years, my team went to finals in the state, almost making it to nationals, but lost both times. ;.; In my last year, in one of the semi-finals rounds, I had to play against one of my best friends' and his team. It was rather "emotional," I guess would be right. I shook hands with him before the match and told him to play his hardest, as we were both assigned to the same position (thus playing against each other as individuals, in a sense). When we won, I gave him a big hug and told him good job and crap. He got kind of sad, but damn it... I wanted to win!

Ooooh I've always wanted to try airsoft and/or paintball, but never got around to it! Might be paintballing later this months though.

I do motorsport. Karting at the moment, moving up to Formula Ford once I have a full time job.

Oh man I totally forgot about karting. I love that stuff! We used to have a place back in town where we could go karting but that place shut down due to insurance issues. @@; If I get a chance I'll be sure to pick it up again, its good fun :D

Eh..I don't know if it's really interesting but I played volleyball all throughout my junior high and high schoo careerl, made it to captian last year!! (Senior year)

I also enjoy paintballing..SO much fun and totally worth the pain!!!
When I was younger I did Taekwondo for about two years. When I was even younger than that I did "tumbling" which was pretty much a step below gymnastics because I wasn't quite old enough to be in gymnastics..

I also love 4-wheeling, but I never did that as an actual sport. Just something out at my parent's house, cruising around the country area and the back yard :D

I do play a sport, but they're not as interesting as the ones i've read here. I play soccer/ football (depends where you live), but I've only began a year ago. I played also when I was like six years old, but my dad told me I was only pulling grass out and also that I was cheering when the other team scored rofl! :p

Now I play mostly as a winger and that suits me well, though I have scored only once (and that was on my debute match).

I like sports. They are better than most video games.
