During the four years since it's announcement, Square Enix have happily reaffirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will remain a Playstation 3 exclusive. It seems that with the success of the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII in the west, they may have changed their mind.
When asked whether Versus could possibly make an appearance on Xbox during a Q&A session after an investors meeting, Yoichi Wada answered "We'll be looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement." Although nothing is set in stone, I'm sure fans well have very opposing opinions about this possibility.
With Final Fantasy Versus XIII hopefully making an appearance at E3 next month, it's likely that we won't have to wait too long to hear Square's final decision.

...booooooooooo
2006 called, they want their epic lie back! Or wait, I mean... What year again?
All jokes aside, this comes as no surprise to many, considering Square-Enix is all about breaking promises and making money. Considering the commercial success of Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360, which accounts for about 35% of FFXIII's total worldwide shipments, the boss man has expressed interest in making Nomura's project multiplatform.
Makes me wonder, if Nomura will be the next Squaresoft veteran to leave the company. The father of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, already left the company due to prior conflicts within the company. Nomura, a couple of years ago, announced his disinterest in not only making his Versus XIII project multi-platform, but the Xbox 360 console itself.
...This reminds me of when Nomura publically announced how he hated his boss (Yoichi Wada). We've all already seen how a Final Fantasy game without Sakaguchi writing and directing "compares" to prior games... picture a Final Fantasy game where Nomura is not the character designer. It'd be repeteated FF games with FF12's characters!
The nightmare begins.... o.o
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Sony fanboy or anything. I have an Xbox 360 and choose some games for Xbox over the PS3 counterpart. I am, however, a fanboy of what Nomura has already promised to be in the game, and what making it multi-platform would deplete from that promised content. It's like taking FF7 Advent Children complete and making the DVD version out of it instead.
