Who is watching this? I'm currently following and supporting my nation team: The Netherlands!
They just won their second game, against Japan, and won with 1-0. A beautiful goal by Wesley Sneijder :D
The Netherlands are the second team to have won two games... A lot of big national teams aren't playing very well, so perhaps our chances are bigger to win the cup :D
Go Oranje :D

England sucks major balls (whats new). Usually I don't care much for football but I've been having fun lately sitting in the lounge with one of my housemates and a couple of beers and shouting at the TV over Coronas and chips.
Watched the Cameroon versus Denmark game tonight and it was like a million times more interesting then England versus Algeria last night :I

Haha. It's true that alot of games are quite boring. It seems the players are tired of the long football season.. Or maybe it's the heights?
I hope the games get more exciting..

I don't really am interested in football, but when The Netherlands have to play I'm watching. :)
So far they won both matches, but they didn't play as good as before.

Canada isn't in the world cup, so it doesn't interest me. With that said, there are a TON of country flags flying around, being a heavily multi-cultural countery. haha.
I don't really care much about soccer, nor do I understand why it should stand out. I personally found it rather annoying that my work closed early this saturday for the damn match. I really need the hours there.
O, and the money spent on this could rather be spent on more important things, no?

nor do I understand why it should stand out.
Because it is the most popular sport in the world by a landslide. And, like the Olympics, the World Cup is once every 4 years, so a lot of people look forward to it.

Ye, though we have the European Cup. So us Europeans(sp?) have the luck that we have a tournament each two years :D
Ofcourse other continents have their own tournaments :)

What I can't stand about soccer is the act the players put on at the slight touch of clothing brushing against them. So pathetic, and an absolute waste of time. Honestly, the goalies do these crazy falls etc, and you never see them exaggerating some sort of 'pain'.
What they need to do is put all the goalies on one team and watch them play ... now that would be soccer worth watching.

Hehe, true.. :P But I don't know if the goalies would be great fieldplayers ^^
Tonight the last group game for, the future World Champion, The Netherlands! :D

We were rooting for Greece. They're out though... Ugh... sad.

Shame Greece is out, I think it's a nice country :)
I am glad that Italy it out tbh. They wouldn't have deserved it to win that last groupmatch.

Yeah, Italy won the last World Cup so I think another team should get it.

Alright, but they also could've lost the final from The Netherlands. ;)

Portugal and Brazil are good also. I look at the foot-work they do... Ugh... Now I see why I don't play soccer!

Lol! You just have to practice, they did too :p
This Friday is Brazil vs. The Netherlands...
I think Brazil will win, but who knows...

Brazil will most probably win. I'd put money on them winning the World Cup this year, actually.

My dad is rooting for Brazil. They've won like, what? 16 World Cups? They don't mess around. My mom just thinks they're good people.
What do you know the Netherlands pulled one of the biggest upsets in this World Cup, even though there have been quite a few upsets.
Did anyone watch the Ghana v. Uruguay game? Ghana deserved to win that game!! Not only can I not believe what a great shot that was that scored Ghana's only goal I can't believe that with all the open net they headed it right at that Uruguay defender and then after he hand-balled it and got his red card that Ghana hit the cross bar!! I was screaming at the TV lol they were the better team but the better team doesn't always win.
