I know I did! The story was great, it was thrilling and I actually bought Chain of Memories once I found out that it was about the in-between period between Kingdom Hearts I and II

I never finished KH II, but I loved it better than the first one. I found it much easier too, and they introduced a lot of good elements, and the characters were pretty cool. I loved how they added Auron from Final Fantasy X, made Riku playable, and also added Captain Jack Sparrow. Some of the new words were really cool, like TRON!

I, personally, liked the first KH better. Although I did love the second one, I felt that the first was more challenging and also had a longer story line. While the second one was a very good game, and like Soul said about the new world/character and such was great, I just felt that KH, being the original, was just better than KH II. Although both games are amazing!!! Kingdom Hearts II was still very fun to play and was a very enjoyable game none the less! ^^

You really though the first one had a longer storyline then the second one Kairi? I thought the second one was much longer than the first, I mean you had to revisit all the worlds that you had already been to and complete something else there even though it was usually only an extra 30 to 45 min.

I have to say that I enjoyed KH II much more than KH I and even when replaying through them I find myself turning off KH I just to pop KH II into my PS2. I like how the characters look now, that the Organization is more involved in the storyline, which is one of my favorite aspects of the KH world, and the new worlds and ways of exploring that KH II presented. The different forms and the drive gauge were awesome to fight with and after finishing the game multiple times I was enticed to get both Re:Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days just to see how everything pieces together, and I wasn't disappointed. Overall liked KH II a whole lot, I'd pick it over KH I.

I've noticed that a lot of people prefer the first one to the second. Myself, though, I like the second one more. Like Xith mentioned, there was a lot more to do what with all the revisiting you can (or sometimes have to) do.

The main thing that appealed more to me in II than in I was the fact that you're given so much more freedom in the battle system. I mean, they both are similar, but the way that II presents it just seems so much fresher and livelier, since you have all the different attacks and Forms and such. Speaking of the Forms, they provide you with a more diverse style of playing. You have four different ones to choose from, and each lets you do different things, as opposed to just hacking away with the Keyblade normally like in I.

Also, Sora was not as annoying in the second game as he was in the first. There, I said it.

Yes he was a little more mature in the second one lol

I actually played KHII before I played the first one, so I guess there is a bit of sentimental value there, but I did enjoy II more than one. Both were amazing, but I think the drive forms clinched it for me, as well as the reaction commands. Those two things made the gameplay more enjoyable. I also liked the villains of II more.

I feel like you would be so disappointed if you went back to play KH I after playing KH II because of all the aspects of gameplay that they added to KH II, mainly the Drive Forms, that made it awesome to play.

I couldnt really say the sequel is bad.... But it never really caught my attention, I beat the game like 10 times now on the hardest difficulty and yet, I couldn't get into it sadly.

I loved KH2, the battle system was a drastic improvement. I found the storyline a little bit too filtered on the whole Organization 13 thing, though. But I am glad they are gone and out of the way. I am looking forward to KH3, especially with Birth By Sleep backing up its premise. But overall, I liked KH2 but I probably preferred the first. It seemed to immerse you more into the storyline and it didn't have as annoying worlds, I thought. (EG. I hated Tron's world... damn that world was BORING lol)

I actually liked that world, I would go back to it to mess around for the lulz.

KH2 was amazing, not much to do after you beat it though. One of the things that I'm wanting to do on it that I havn't is to beat Sephiroth to continue the Cloud/Sephiroth story that is in the Kingdom Hearts.

I never played KH. So it was a bit confusing for me playing the sequel.

I loved KH2! I actually remembered playing Chain of Memories first because my brother and I were addicted to the Game Boy Advance during that time.

I really loved the story, and pretty much everything. I hope the third installment would be thrice as awesome.

To tell you the truth I only played Kingdom Hearts 2 to hear Squall's given voice. I didn't manage to get KH 1.

I completed the first game... however half way during the second game my PS2 decided it would have a fit and it went completely mental and scratched up my KH2 disc and any other game that I put in it afterwards. So I've never been able to complete KH2, however once I'm done play KH: 358/2 Days I will play BBS and then hopefully fix my PS2 (which has been sitting in my wardrobe for about three years) and complete KH2

Love it!!! The fighting, story and Organization XIII adds depth to the game.Boss fights are amazing as usual. Not to mention the OST and graphics, plus Mickey!!!!
However, the story in some worlds are boring or rehashed from the Disney movie, not original enough entirely,or maybe just because i watch them before so i compared to them.Unlike the SE world's, which is amazing btw, some Disney's world just bugs me.
Example:
1)Mulan's World (forget the name).
I don't think that galloping down from the snowy mountain with flying bugs is gonna scare anyone.... Not to mention the palace enable the guard to walk casually, unlike those in Alice in Wonderland.... Seriously WTF???

2)Atlantica (the Little Mermaid's world)
Back to its singing chops, this world is boring and almost fully rehashed from the movie and made into rhythm game/musical. What wrong with swimming around the ocean, fighting heartless, exploring the ocean, then fight that big ass shark (love that fish),
and the two epic hard boss battle with ursula. Instead of those, MUSICAL???!! WtF??

3)Port Vale (Pirates of the Caribbean's world)
Johnny Depp is cool, fact.
Movie is great, fact.
Putting them on the game, with ugly animation (check on Elizabeth especially),plus censorship controls (they minus all the blood on that one), Bad idea.Nuff said.

I seriously don't want HSM or Camp rock in kingdom hearts 3,please.

I did like KH II but I didn't love it lol. It wasn't anywhere near as good as the original KH. The amount of improvements into the combat system were not substantial enough in my opinion.

I liked the first one better, it was more of a challenge and had a more cohesive storyline. I felt like the second one was a bit too jumbled and although you accumulated more gametime because of the revisiting, the worlds were pretty boring and consisted mostly of contrived aspects from the plots of the movies.
I LOVED the improved battle system and camera in Kingdom Hearts II though. And the character redesigns for Sora and Kairi were great (I wasn't a fan of Riku's new look...).
I LOVED Roxas and Namine, but felt that the prologue to the actual game was far too long AND boring. I would have loved for the whole Roxas chapter to have been done in a separate game ala Chains of Memories to allow more time to develop his character.
Ah, but to end the griping, Kingdom Hearts II was good, but nowhere near as good as the original.

The first game just FELT better and was, of course, not quite so easy. Okay, so the story was still good and, yes, it was mildly challenging at times if you weren't prepard, but it could have been so much more.

It's been a long time since I played it, but there was still plenty I did like. It was good enough to keep me playing it for a few months after I finished it, if only to try finishing Jiminy's journal (I never did). The Sephiroth fight in it disappointed me. I attempted him as soon as I had access to him, lost hard, then went back after exploring another world or two and absolutely annihilated him. This is different, of course, from the original, where even if you took him on at level 100, he was still challenging.

The transformations and a lot of the characters, though, particularly Organization XIII, were all really good. I don't think I'll ever quite approve, however, of the existence of Roxas or Axl.
