Things you collect

Do any of you collect anything? Anything you yet want to add to your collection? Not counting games, as this is primarily a gaming forum. :P

When I was younger I collected keychains. Lots and lots of keychains. I still have them on the attic, think there's like 30 of them!

Now I primarily collect manga volumes that I think are worth buying (I check it out online first), and on the rarer occasion, statues/figures of video game or anime or cartoon characters that I like.

The pile of bigger books to the right is a combination of comics (American), artbooks, and Playstation magazines. lol
Minnie Mouse statue to the right, Chocobo plush, Mog plush, Urahara plush,Toad/mushroom from Mario plush, stereotypical black plush that I won at a fair, Piplup plush (gift), a big mouse plush I got as a kid and still love XD


In the attic I have figures of Crash Bandicoot as well. XD

Since I've just moved back home from university most of my stuff is still packed away D:

I have the Negima! manga series since I'm an active reader of scanlations it's one of the few manga I actually buy >.>; Long since given up on keeping up with any other series and don't really read as much manga as I used too anyway! The only other noticable collection of manga I have is the Kingdom Hearts series (not my call! The box collection was a friend from someone else!)

In terms of figures I have a handful of larger KOS-MOS figures of Xenosaga fame as well as some smaller trade arts of KOS-MOS and Shion. My favourite KOS-MOS fig is definitely this one;

I also have a couple of Final Fantasy III trade arts figs that a friend for my birthday a few years back as well as some Kingdom Hearts things that sit around my room. They used to sit out on my desk at university but since I moved back in with my parents my room is a mess and like... half the size with no proper desk, so maybe if I ever redecorate and renovate they might yet see the light of day again!

I got a couple of Kingdom Hearts wallscrolls lying around too currently packed away. I went through a bit of a Kingdom hearts phase in case you can't tell ;x

Okay I officially jealous of your Elizabeth figure.... and KOSMOS! SO LUCKY!

Well I pretty much collect like anything, I have like an OCD when I get my hands on one item I have to work towards getting all of them... Like even for instance something so simple as game items like P3P, right now I am collecting all the tuxedo, bathing suit, summer/winter clothings. I guess I have this weird philosophy where I think having only one set will get lonely so I have to have them all.

Materialistically speaking, I try to stay away from collecting because it will trigger my OCD :P and I will go very poor. I have been collecting consoles though :X as bad as that sounds! I tend to keep old games/gaming machines even when they aren't functional!

I also "collect" music and I like to get albums on to my MP3 instead of individual songs now XD

When I was younger I use to collect pokemon figures but I would play with them :P well I was a kid... Don't get me started on the pokemon, yu-gi-oh cards! Oh and Beyblades too.. Wow, too much!

Haha now I know why I love pokemon games :P

It's cool that you collect old consoles though, the longer you keep them the more they will sell for later in the future!

I used to collect Beyblades. I have three boxes full of them in the attic. @.@ lol I've been collecting buttons, stickers and teddy bears since I was little, so I have tonnes of those. XDD My mom keeps telling me I need to stop because she thinks I'm wasting too much money. =d It's true, if I like the buttons on a shirt or something, I'll buy it and just keep the buttons, even if it's expensive. XD I buy at least one teddy bear a week and whatever stickers I happen to come across that I like. I bought $300 worth of stickers in one day before. >.< XDDD My mommy's boyfriend has a tonne of money and I think I've developed a bit of an issue with spending too much on things that aren't really necessities as a result. But I don't like him, so my collections shall continue to grow until he is completely broke!! XDDDD I've also started collecting gum wrappers. lol I chew about a pack or so a day because I'm weird and the type of gum I chew (5 Elixir stuff lol) comes in shiny wrappers so instead of throwing them out, I just keep them. >.< My friend suggested pasting them on my walls until there is no more wallpaper but I like the wallpaper in my room, so I've decided not to. I dunno what to do with them. @.@ rofl I'm OCD.... Don't judge... XDD

I used to collect Pokemon cards when I was young. I had a mint condition card of all original 151 Pokemon, many of which in some rare or foil form, including Ancient Mew. I was starting to care less about Pokemanz when I was about 14, so I gave them all to my brother. I got really pissed off because he gave them all to his friends at school in exchange for fruit snacks and other dumb shit. His mommy got mad when I slapped him upside the head >> But the fawker deserved it!

I also collect posters, but had to start over last year. Before my house burned down, I had mass posters (many of which were rare and worth some money). One of which was a Scarface poster signed by Al Pacino, and a Tiger Woods championship poster that he signed. I could sell that for some mad money now considering his scandal >>. I had a Joker poster from The Dark Knight. I had a monster truck poster with a bunch of different trucks, signed by all the featured drivers (Gravedigger, Snake Bite, etc.). from when I was younger. A bunch of Nintendo posters... Uh, a lot more. Unfortunately, they all went with the fire -.-

Fortunately, I still have my Mario plaque-like posters that I got from my mom a long ass time ago when Super Mario Bros 3 came out. I don't remember when it came out, but I do remember that I was either not here yet or a small mafk barely able to spell. Regardless, I have about seven of the few that were printed. My store's Nintendo rep told me recently that they have some of them at Nintendo, and they are valued in around $1,000 a piece. :D
Now, I've added a Blazblue poster, three sets of the Bayonetta posters, a Kingdom Hearts poster, and some others. I have a Final Fantasy XIII plaque as well. And, soon will have a Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep plaque.

I also collect manga as well, but just recently started. I've got the entire Burst Angel series, and Black God up to date at volume nine. Yay!
Also, concerning anime, I have the DNAngel complete box set, some others I can't remember, and if it counts, all editions of FF7 Advent Children (blu-ray version ftw)

I have a DVD collection that surpasses 100 movies o.o yay. And, I've got more Disney VHS movies than I can remember. Those things are going to be worth a good amount of money some day!

The lack of functional camera prevents pics, but maybe soon I can post some. I collect more stuff, but I figure that's enough for now. >>

Like Mizu and Depu, I used to collect Beyblades and Pokemon merchandise when I was younger. The only thing I remotely collect nowadays though are figurines that I think look interesting o-o Me and Kim sometimes buy some anime but I wouldn't really call it "collecting" as such. I get a few posters here and there sometimes, but not to the extent where I would collect a large number of them. I have no more than 5 really :D

But I mainly collect figurines. I don't have any pictures at the moment but I can add them when I take a picture with a camera. Figurines I like collecting are from the series Ah! My Goddess!, Ikkitousen / Battle Vixens, Xenosaga (KOS-MOS for the win), or Tony Taka figurines (Blanc Neige is all I have but he has other figurines that I find worthy of adding to my collection), and I also have a few Final Fantasy figurines.

I don't like how some figurines are CRAZY expensive though @_@; I'm willing to pay up to €50-80 for a figurine, but some figurines easily clock over €200... I'd never pay such prices for figurines lol. I'll edit this post or quote it with pictures of my collection soon :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also collect a bit of manga! I used to avidly collect Ah my Goddess and Battle Vixens but I've not been buying the latest volumes lately as Battle Vixens has been going a bit downhill lately. And I find that AMG gets a bit boring after a while. I still like both of them though. I also have Chobits, Gurren Lagann, and the first volume of Blame!.

I used to collect Pokemon cards aswell... Kinda... lol My older brother gave me his collection and then I started collecting them a little for a while. I gave them to my little brother for his seventh birthday and he doesn't let anyone else touch them. lol He had two of his friends over, pulled the box out of his closet and then explained to them before he opened it that they couldn't touch them because his older sister gave them to him so they were special. <33 lol

Yay, Beyblade! I used to watch that show religiously but I was one of only five children in my whole school who liked it. @.@ lol

I collect Nine Inch Nails things as well as Disturbed things. lol I have a tonne of posters and every single one of their C.D.s. I actually have multiple copies of all of NIN's C.D.s 'cause I'm insane like that. I bought eleven copies of my favourite NIN C.D.! XDDDD *crazy*

I also collect Kaori Yuki mangas and stuff. I LOVE KAORI YUKI. lol Read one of her mangas. Just any random one. You'll understand... Especially if you're coughinsanecough like me. ^.^ rofl

WOW, I didn't notice how many things I collect until now.... I can now confidently admit I have a problem. A HUGE problem.... :x

Wow you guys all have some massive collections, I'm kinda shell shocked from all the stuff lol

I only really collect a few things and they mostly have to do with different sports. I collected the Lightning bobble heads of all the players when they were giving them away. I'm an avid Florida Gators fan so anything that has to do with them I usually get my hands on it. Other than that the only other thing that I collect at the moment is both baseball and football cards but I don't have anything too rare or anything like you all seem to have.

I collect guitar picks.

One side of the wall in my room is decorated according to color. :) I first collected picks from Fender, and then developed a liking to nylon picks when I bought my first set from Dunlop, and since then I've been using Dunlop picks.

I also own about twenty or thirty Teck Picks, which are pretty hard to collect in my country because of the price and quality. But I love collecting that much that I bought different colors. Haha. I never really use them, though, because they tend to pluck the living hell out of my strings.

I'm kind of starting a collection of Force FX lightsabers. So far I have a Yoda and a Darth Maul double bladed, Wanting to get the Mace Windu next.
