Chocobo Racing was released back in 1999 on the PlayStation by the good old Square. It's a racer featuring Final Fantasy inspired characters (like Chocobo and Moogle).

I recently downloaded this (game is really rare) and it's a nice Mario kart clone. The story isn't really interesting, but I like the characters and the soundtrack.

Chocobo Racing was mad fun back in the day. My favourite character to use was Bahamut xD Even though the graphics were pretty crappy, the game was fun. Its a pretty low profile game though, inspite of its iconic title and characters.

Yes, it's playable according to this website (http://www.ps3comp.com/view.asp?flt=c&console=psone). Use the search option there (site isn't updated anymore though ...).
