Questions About The Ending [SPOILER ALERT]

For the sake of everyone who has yet to beat the game I will be putting the whole of my post in spoiler tags.

I'm actually quite confused about the ending of FFXIII. After Cocoon is crystalized is it still inhabitable? The fact that Orphan was destroyed means no, but I've read several fanfics where the characters are living on Cocoon afterwards like nothing ever happened. If anyone has any insight on this please let me know.

It is definitely not, absolutely not, for surely not, inhabitable. The whole idea of the end is the Cocoon citizens are now able to make a new fresh start for themselves on Pulse without having to rely 100% on Fal'Cie for every little aspect of their lives.

Fanfiction writers like to take their own perogatives when...writing fanfiction. That or they did not finish the game when a spark of creativity hit them. :)
