FFXIII Favourite Character

I assume most people are atleast half way through now and may or may not have a favourite character, if you do. Who is it and why?

Mine is Lightning, I found I could really connect with her and you find out why shes like she is and it all makes sense. Shes also a well balanced fighter, which is what I play best as.

I also liked Fang, she was a strong character, but seemed confused with what to do, she seemed more solo then a team player like the others

Hahaha you know what's weird. Those two are my top two as well! But I really like Sazh mainly because of his personality, he isn't so silly and I love his quirky jokes as well :) But Fang and Lightning I enjoy their personalities as well - I love controlling them when they fight :D

I love Fang, not sure why except her personality and I tend to use her a lot now.

I also love Snow though..... no one else seems to like him, but there's just something about him. I also use him in the party a lot now because he is pretty effective now that I have him "lvl'd" up and such.

I actually like Serah a lot as well - she seems like such a sweet, pure girl. I wish she was playable, I would definitely make her as a Ravager :D I don't know why but for a weapon I could imagine her with a katana XD

I, too, like Snow because he has a positive attitude and while he may be a little arrogant at times, I think he just wants the best for people.

While snow isn't my favorite character, he is most certainly one of my most likable :D

I guess I would have to say that (at the moment) my fav character is Lightning because of her personality (like most have stated) But also, like snow, she is wanting the best for people. She cares, and I feel like she shows it in odd ways, assuming thats because she's part of the Guardian Corp? I don't know. Maybe :)

I haven't actually played FF13, but if I just go by the character bio's on my site, and on looks, I'd have to go with Fang. She looks like she's a totally awsome character!

My favourite characters are Fang because she's so to the point, honest & caring she'll do anything 4 the people she care's for & she's so sarcastic she makes me laugh. I also like Lightning she's also a very caring character, although she seem's to have a hard time letting everyone know how she really feels.

Now that I've played I must admit that both Vanille and Lightning make me want to play more, and I think Fang will just add to that effect, but I cant tell since I haven't quite played with her yet. I somehow just can't stand Snow or Hope ( arrogant guy and a n emo), but Hope's an awesome mage.

Kinda a dampener here but played the game the whole of about ten times and just got bored of it. The main reason was the Battle System, I hated it but second of all after meeting all of the playables, I was kinda pissed off. None of them stand out with a particularly fascinating personality unlike previous Final Fantasy games. I was even miffed when I first saw Sazh Katzroy. I thought they'd made a new Barret Wallace in the form of a 70s cop or something but not a single character seems fresh in anyway.

If I were to name one I enjoyed the company of in my short time playing XIII though, it would be Sazh.

Really? I myself actually have the exact opposite feeling. Compared to Final Fantasy XII the characters in XIII seem to have rather a lot of personality, issues and growth. Hope and Lightning for example amazed me ( Still don't like Hope tough). Snow kinda reminded me a bit of Zell, and Sazh indeed seemed like a barret at first, but I still think the characters in 13 are well chosen.

3. Hope
I like Hope because I can relate to him in some aspects and plus Alexander has ALWAYS been my favourite summon.

2. Cid Ranes
I liked Cid through everthing I've done on the game so far and thought he was a cool character.

I was really surprised when I had to fight him. Plus his half cie'th form was really badass.

1. Barthandelus
Barthandelus has got to be one of my favourite villains of all time. He's so wierd looking, but I like that kind of stuff. The singing heads and wierd powers are just soooooooooo badass.

I like all the party members but apart from Hope I find it difficult to order them.

Out of playable characters, Lightning by far. Although, I thought Odin could have been cooler ;.;

Out of NPC, I'd have to vote Cid as well. His character was well written and developed.

After playing trough the game; I'd have to pick between either Fang or Lightning. Lightning is just awesome, and she's so well designed, it spooks me sometimes. Fang is just epic, being about the best commando in game. As party person I prefer Hope tough, since he's an excellent ravager/synargist and medic. He saved me so many times, it's unreal. And I got him ( along with the rest) up to 12-14k hitpoints, so that dear is gone as well ^^

Mine are Lightning and Hope.

Lightning, because she's the epitome of a kickass female lead character. And Hope, - even though a lot of people don't like him - because he matures a great deal throughout the course of the game and becomes one of the strongest characters, I think. I've heard a lot of people call him whiny and yes, that's true at first but you have to put yourself in his shoes. He's 14, just lost his mother, got turned into an enemy of the place he grew up in, and is being driven by rage. For only 14 I think he does pretty good.

My favorite, hands down, has to be Vanille. She's cute and I love her character design and personality. I also like the bond between her and Fang.
