Grandia series

I really like the first two Grandia games that appeared (before Square merged with Enix). The first Grandia is one of my favorite games after Final Fantasy VII, since it has a really good story and the battle system is unique and great. And I love the soundtrack.

I never played Grandia Xtreme and Grandia III (damn Square Enix never released them in Europe) , but I heard they aren't as good as the first two.

I played Grandia 1 and 2 with Kim, though we didn't get far in 1. We both loved Grandia 2 though

Millenia and Ryudo were for the win!

I have played all 3, and oddly enough 3 is my favorite. Perhaps something to do with the storyline.... and the song, I am just obsessed with it! All 3 were very good though. I have not played Extreme though, which I probably should, but it got such horrid reviews I just sort of keep putting it off. I like my storylines in RPG's and in Extreme it is said the story is very left behind.

Overall one of my more favorite series though.

I've played Grandia II, Grandia Xtreme, and Grandia III.

Of them, Grandia II is my favorite.

It's my favorite for characters, and story.

However Grandia III is my favorite in terms of the battle system during battles, but I missed some of the power ups of the second, like the skill books and eggs.

Grandia Xtreme was just horrible though.

Overall.. Grandia II is my 2nd favorite RPG, with the first Shadow Hearts being my favorite.

I actually own Grandia Extreme and it is just still sitting there dusting up. When I first played it I was quite confused with the storyline and then I became uninterested in continuing the game.

I am not so familiar with these series but I do believe I played number 2 and beat it. I remember one of the characters was Millenia I think??

Yeah Millenia was in the 2nd. She was the Black Wings.. and as such would only be part of your team at certain points since she was inside Elena for the majority of the game.

I still own Grandia Xtreme, though I have it listed for sale at Amazon because I hate it. >_<

Haha sounds like my putting off getting Extreme has not been a loss. Guess I will put it off longer, not like I don't have enough other stuff I need to spend money on! lol

May eventually get it just to have in the collection..... but maybe not.

I really like Grandia II, was it? Whichever one had Ryudo in it. I loved the religious additives, as well as the rivalry between Melfice and Ryudo.
