Rinoa. Or Squall, but Rinoa was cute, and finally NOT A WHITE MAGE.

Obviously Squall. You hate him at first, for being disturbingly aloof, then you grow to him, when learned that he just shy and unable to adapt to others around him.

His love story with rinoa is perhaps the greatest reason why i like him (and the game) the best.

Squall. Although I like Rinoa and a few others a lot as well, Squall will always be my favorite. He acts so tough and uncaring, but when you really watch the storyline you just have to want to hug him.

I do agree though about Rinoa, I was happily surprised when she wasn't the "typical" healer role.

Yeah I don't seem to understand why people don't like Squall. People call him "emo" when all he is really showing is human qualities... It must be difficult to be able to live without family - like you would feel completely alone, and dettached that it would be difficult to warm up to others.
He is one of the stronger protagonist's in my opinion.

Just like Tidus, Hope, Cloud etc... alot of people who call these guys emo, favour squall as well. Well no one ( to be fair ) has a paddy like squal does and storms out cause hes afraid of dying, i dunno, i didnt like squall, just seemed like an ass to me, gotta feel sorry for him though, he was 2nd best to Rinoa, she really wanted Seifer.

My favourite character, thats a hard one, none really stuck out for me. Id probably say Zell, he was cute and pretty nice guy, he was a bit dumb (but in a good way)

Waiiit. SHe used to have a crush on Seifer, but that changed pretty fast in the game didn't it? Seifer was one of the characters I wish I could kill more often. As for Zell, I kinda have to disagree there too. I coulnd't stand he guy in my party, and that's a good thing in the Deep Sea Research Facility too. He was level 14 for me, with Squall and Rinoa level 100

Ive only got half way through disc2, but that scene in garden on disc1 is her expressing her love for seifer (when hes reported dead) then squall has a fit and runs out.

Well, in that case, play through Disc 3 . There's something blooming up on disc 3.
