Default The Last Remnant

Have you guy's played this game yet?

I was playing it awhile back, I didn't get really far in it because I am not so strong on the whole strategic turn based battle with multiple groups. I really loved the graphics and environment of it though...

I keep getting stuck on the same battle, and I tried to fight against monsters to maybe build up my character but it doesn't seem like it works that way.

Is this game really worth anothe playthrough, you think?

I am deciding if I should replay this game or if I should replay Infinite Undiscovery.

I downloaded a xbox port for PC, played 2 hours and stopped. I might start it again after my exams, but back then it didn't draw me a lot.

How come you like it so much, is it the storyline that is drawing you or the game mechanics like the Battle System?

I would like to try again but I am so terrible with the Battle System that I will probably just end up dying over and over again! That becomes frustrating after awhile

I first downloaded the PC port of The Last Remnant (and later bought it for cheap) and it is quite alright. I like the environments in the game. At first the battle system was a bit hard to understand, but now it's alright.

I'm stuck for a very long time at the Nest of Eagles, damn hard boss.

Hmm I believe I read it, plus I payed attention to the tutorials in the beginning of the game (I never ever do usually) and I still can't seem to get a grip on the Battle System.
Do you guys have any tricks/tips, you want to share ?

Also I have tried to create more smaller groups instead of 3 big main groups but my smaller groups seem to be much weaker.. My biggest problem is that the bosses and even regular enemies too, "gang" up on me, and usually take 1 group down in a couple of turns!

I've started downloading it again. The last version I had still used Xbox keys in the tuorial, which was kind of freaking me out.

Well, it's default set on Xbox keys, you have to change it in the options menu. The game has the 'Games for Windows' label, which M$ owns...

At first I disliked the game as it looked unfinished and slow (I played the 360 version).
But after a while it got pretty good and I really enjoyed playing the game. I even finished it with almost every secret.
Some battles are indeed pretty difficult, but that is what I liked about this game.

I started it today, and I had forgotten how weird and uncool the battle system was. Seriously, I think you don't have to many control over your characters.l

Yes it is really confusing... What do you mean control over the characters? Does that mean I keep getting Game over because the game is purposely wanting me to That is just pure evil!

The game is pretty mediocre, to be perfectly honest. I own the 360 version and have played the PC version, and there is one thing I would recommend to people wanting to play this:

GET IT ON PC. 360 version is plagued with choppy framerate and technical issues.

I keep hearing about tech issudes and framrate issues but never experiencing it for myself.

I really enjoyed the game, the battle system was very unique and the story was ok. The battle system is very difficult to get a hold of. Id advise anyone playing it to not grind on monsters for a fair while. higher your br, higher level the monsters are. You need to get as many stat ups between each battle rank up, so its best to grind alot later in the game.

I got this game on launch date because it was a birthday gift from a friend. I ransacked through the game and destroyed it, but not without difficulty, of course. The main challenge for me was the six bases you have to fight about 65% or so through the game.

The game was decent. The ending was far from surprising, and the story developed in a predictable fashion toward the end. Props for the Conquerer being Piccolo, though! lawlz. It's worth playing through once, but has very low replay value. Definitely a bargain game.
